There are two separate services you'll need for a functioning website - a domain and a website hosting plan for it. If you type the Internet domain in your Internet browser, you see the content that’s uploaded inside the hosting account, but if that domain name isn't linked to such an account or to an email service, it's parked. To put it differently, the domain name is registered and you are its owner, but it does not have any content of its own. As a substitute, it can open either a pre-made “Under Construction / For Sale” Internet page from the registrar company, or it could be directed to any other URL of your choice. The advantage of parking a domain address is that you can keep it and make sure that no one else is going to take it. In the meantime, it won't occupy a slot for a hosted domain name within your account. You can also park domains if you have a .com, for instance, and you register domain names with other extensions like .net, .org or country-code ones to forward them to the main website in order to protect a brand name.

Parked Domains in Website Hosting

With each and every website hosting package we offer you can park as many domains as you would like and unlike other companies, we don't have any fees for that. However, you can do this only for domain names which are registered through us because parking a domain is possible only through the registrar, but not through the host unless you have the two services with the same company. We've got a feature-rich Domain Manager tool where you can conveniently park and un-park domains, pick one of the templates we provide and add custom text to it, or forward a domain address to a URL of your choice. If you host a parked domain address, our system will change its name servers and set up a folder in the File Manager automatically. You could also set filters to check out only the parked or only the hosted domains, that will allow you to handle them really easy.

Parked Domains in Semi-dedicated Servers

Our semi-dedicated servers do not have a limit for the number of domain addresses that you could park. This feature is offered for domain addresses that are registered through us and not ones that are only hosted, because the service is always provided only by the registrar. Parking any of your domains is really basic and takes a few mouse clicks with the feature-rich Domain Manager instrument, which you’ll be able to access via your Hepsia web hosting CP. You're going to have a number of parking templates to pick from and you can add custom text to each of them - Under Construction, Parked Domain, For Sale, and so on. Un-parking a domain name is just as simple and what is more, our system will set up all the needed records and it'll create a folder inside the File Manager section automatically, so you will not need to do anything manually.
